| Description: | Corton Blanc is in fact super rare and many experienced Burgundy lovers have never drunk one. Chandon de Briailles make the benchmark example from only 0.6 hectares of vines in three plots. 90% of the fruit comes from vines planted in the clay-rich Grand Cru climat of Bressandes, the only Chardonnay vines to be found here. Bressandes provides the wine's rich, earthy core, while the balancing 10% comes from Les Chaumes (a climat below the road from Aloxe, on the way to Pernand). These are two exceptional terroirs that are farmed with meticulous attention to detail. The wine has been made using 20% new oak from Stockinger. A unique Grand Cru to reward the adventurous. |
