| Description: | Next to the Sangiacomo, the 2010 Pinot Noir Van Der Kamp comes across as a bit fragile and forward. Dried cherries, herbs, tobacco and licorice all open up in the glass. At times, the alcohol is a bit intrusive, which detracts from the wine’s balance. I don’t quite see the same level of finesse in the Van Der Kamp that is the norm in the rest of the range. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018. |
